The Stewards noted that Jordan Nailor sustained an injury to his hand when Double Court (IRE) made a bad mistake jumping the second fence, preventing him from continuing in the race and he therefore pulled the gelding up shortly thereafter.
Following the race, Ross Turner reported that No Cruise Yet (GB), which started joint-favourite and was pulled up, lost its action; the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the gelding shortly after the race failed to reveal any abnormalities.
