An enquiry was held into the running and riding of NOMINATION GAME (IRE), placed fourth, ridden by Jack Quinlan, BONJOUR STEVE, unplaced, ridden by Brendan Powell, TIS WONDERFUL (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Micheal Nolan and ZORLU (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Connor Brace, which were all ridden detached from the leading group and only asked for an effort approaching the final bend. They interviewed the riders who all stated that their instructions had been to sit in mid-division with a lead but that they had been unable to do so due to the erratic jumping of MUSTAAQEEM (USA), unplaced, which had persistently jumped violently right-handed across their group, causing them to lose considerable ground which they were unable to make up due to the strong pace set by the leaders. Having heard their evidence and viewed recordings of the race, the Stewards noted their explanations. Being a 7Ib claimer, Brace was offered the opportunity to have someone accompany him in the enquiry, but declined.
