D. McMonagle, rider of What Adaay (GB) trained by Patrick Martin, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount finished lame
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined What Adaay (GB), trained by Patrick Martin, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be lame on her left hind post race
The Stewards interviewed John C. McConnell, trainer, in relation to the fact that five of his runners ran today in colours contrary to those on the race card. Evidence was heard from the trainer concerned who stated that the colour bag had been inadvertently left behind in his stable yard. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards advised Mr. McConnell to exercise greater care in meeting his obligations in future.
An extended handicap for two years old only rated 45-70
Weights - Top weight in the original handicap and after the time of declaration shall not be less than 9st 12lbs and the minimum weight is 8st 6lbs
Penalties - (after calculation of the handicap) A winner shall carry 6lb extra for each race won.
