Approaching the second last hurdle, Rainy City (IRE), placed eighth, hung left carrying I’M ON SNAP (IRE), placed sixth, off its intended line which in turn left Celestial Sky (IRE), placed second, short of racing room.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
The performance of I’M ON SNAP (IRE), which started favourite and finished sixth of eight runners, beaten 13 lengths, was considered.
The representative of Tom Lacey could offer no explanation for the mare’s performance and the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination, during routine testing of I’M ON SNAP (IRE), failed to reveal any abnormalities.
