Permission was given for Queen Of Romford (IRE) to go early to post wearing a red hood.
The winner, Cantora (GB), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Newmarket on 5 August 2022 where the filly finished last of six, beaten by 12½ lengths.
It was noted that the representative of George Boughey could offer no explanation for Cantora (GB)’s improved form on this occasion.
The filly was routine tested.
The performance of Gone (IRE), which started joint-favourite and finished unplaced, beaten by 27¼ lengths, was considered.
It was noted that the representative of Charlie & Mark Johnston could offer no explanation for the filly’s performance on this occasion.
The Veterinary Officer subsequently reported that a post-race examination of Gone (IRE) failed to reveal any abnormalities.
