The winner, ALFREDO (IRE), appeared to show improved form, compared with its previous run at Newmarket on 2 November 2018 where the gelding finished tenth of eleven, beaten by 88 lengths. Seamus Durack's explanation that the gelding benefitted from manipulation to the back easing the effects of kissing spine and being fitted with a new saddle was noted. ALFREDO (IRE) was routine tested.
