He won a couple of point-to-point's but he kind of lost his form then. I said to Ricky if you get good jumps out of him over the first couple you have a chance. He handled the ground and has loads of experience. We were hopeful more than confident but he always had the ability to do that. He'll go for another handicap chase next. The Stewards requested a report from Colin Bowe, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Lacken Bridge, placed first, as compared with its recent form. The trainer reported that his charge had disappointed on previous runs having jumped poorly. Since then his charge received plenty of schooling and the trainer attributed today's improved performance to a clear round of jumping, over fences that were more to his liking. Having considered the report, the Stewards noted the explanation offered
