Permission was given for Sparked (GB) to go early to post wearing a red hood.
The raceday privilege request in relation to Therehegoes (GB) to go early to post, trained by Robyn Brisland, was not submitted.
Brisland was warned as to his responsibility to ensure that all raceday privilege requests are submitted by 1pm on the day before racing.
Approaching 1 furlong out, My Genghis (GB), unplaced, shifted quickly left-handed before being corrected, causing Bungle Bay (IRE), placed third, to be taken slightly off its intended line and the rider to take a check and Sparked (GB), placed fourth, to be taken off its intended line, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference inside the final furlong involving the winner, Therehegoes (GB), ridden by Ben Sanderson and Level Up (IRE), placed second, ridden by Pierre-Louis Jamin.
The Stewards considered that the interference had not improved Therehegoes (GB)’s placing as despite Level Up (IRE) being intimidated and carried off its intended line, there was no contact or loss of momentum, with Therehegoes (GB) always holding Level Up (IRE) to win by a neck on the line.
Sanderson was cautioned for careless riding as he failed to take sufficient steps to prevent his mount from drifting left-handed, causing Level Up (IRE) to be taken off its intended line.
Following the race, Joe Leavy reported that Bungle Bay (IRE), placed third, suffered interference approximately 1 ½ furlongs out and Mollie Phillips reported that My Genghis (GB), unplaced, hung left- handed.
