This was essentially a piece of work for BILLYFORD who has classic aspirations according to trainer Liam Roche.

Fran Berry held his mount up before moving up to challenge a furlong-and-a-half out and he put his head in front at the furlong pole. He just needed to be nudged out to see off his rivals in good style.

The winner is expected to improve for the outing and could be aimed at the Guineas Trial at Leopardstown next month. The Italian and French classics are possibles for the colt.

Derby entry King Of Queens was all the rage in the ring, supported to 2/1f from 3/1 and he was available at as big as 5/1 this morning.

He came under pressure two furlongs out, however, and could never really get involved.

Icemancometh won well here last week and again set off to make all. He had no extra to offer when headed two furlongs out but is a good bench mark here.

Dirar ran well in second, taking up the running from Icemancometh, but he was always playing second fiddle to the winner.

Reformist was caught short of room under two furlongs out but looked under pressure at the time and it probably didn't make a difference to his finishing position.
