J.B. Foley, rider of Princely Conn trained by Thomas Mullins, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount burst a blood vessel. The animal was subsequently examined by the I.H.R.B. The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Kitty Galore, trained by John Patrick Ryan, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

An extended handicap hurdle for four years old and upwards (130 = 11st 10lbs)
Weights - Top weight in the original handicap and after the time of declaration shall not be less than 11st 10lbs and the minimum weight shall not be less than 9st 12lbs
Penalties - Winner of a hurdle race after calculation of the handicap shall carry 5lb extra for each hurdle race won.
Riders - Confined to Professional Riders under I.N.H.S. Rules who have not lost the right to claim the allowance under Rule 52 (iii).
