Approximately 2 furlongs out, Engles Rock (IRE), placed fifth, edged marginally right-handed causing Bashful (GB), placed second, to shift right-handed which in turn caused the winner, Dougies Dream (IRE), to lug away from Bashful (GB) resulting in Rocket Rod (IRE), placed fourth, becoming tight for room against the rail, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Following the race, Jonny Peate reported that Rocket Rod (IRE), which started joint second-favourite and finished fourth, suffered interference approximately 2 furlongs out.
