Permission was given for Imperiousity (GB) to wear a red hood to post.
An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference from inside the final furlong when Goose Rock (IRE), ridden by Callum Shepherd, interfered with Imperiousity (GB), placed second, ridden by Rob Hornby.
The Stewards considered that the interference had not improved Goose Rock (IRE)’s placing as Goose Rock (IRE) always appeared to be holding Imperiousity (GB) and Hornby’s mount lost no momentum because of the interference with a neck between them at the line.
The interference was found to be accidental as inside the final furlong Goose Rock (IRE) and Imperiousity (GB) initially shifted left-handed independently and despite Shepherd’s best efforts, Goose Rock (IRE) continued to shift left-handed and on the run to the line marginally intimidated Imperiousity (GB) off its intended line.
Following the race, Jason Hart reported that Debydinks (IRE), placed fourth, hung right-handed off the bend.
