Paul O'Brien, the rider of Young Butler (IRE), was unseated on the flat on the final bend turning into the home straight.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no other horse or rider was involved, and the incident was accidental caused by the gelding suffering an injury.
The performance of G A Henty (GB), which started favourite and was pulled up, was considered.
The representative of Dan Skelton’s explanation that the gelding was unsuited by the Going, officially described as Heavy and would be better suited by less testing conditions, was noted.
