An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference approaching the final furlong when Your Choice (GB), placed second, ridden by Liam Jones interfered with Shake Me Handy (GB), placed third, ridden by Adam Kirby.
The Stewards considered that the interference had improved Your Choice (GB)’s placing as the distance and momentum lost by Shake Me Handy (GB) as a result of the interference was greater than the diminishing margin of a head and Shake Me Handy (GB) made ground all the way to the line after the incident.
The placings were revised as follows: Second, Shake Me Handy (GB), Third, Your Choice (GB).
Jones was cautioned for careless riding as he allowed his mount to drift right- handed without timely correction causing Kirby to take a slight check.
Following the race, Oisin Murphy reported that the winner, Tiger Eye (IRE), hung left-handed under pressure.
