Sea of Faith (IRE) wore ear plugs which were removed at the start and Lorelina (GB) was given permission to wear a hood in the Parade Ring.
An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference inside the final ½ furlong when Point In Time (IRE), placed second, ridden by Hollie Doyle, interfered with Lorelina (GB), placed fourth, ridden by Oisin Murphy, who in turn interfered with the winner, Jedhi (GB), ridden by Ryan Moore, who in turn interfered with Sea of Faith, placed third, ridden by James Doyle.
The Stewards considered that the interference had not improved Point In Time (IRE)’s placing as very little momentum and ground was lost as result of the interference, equating to less than the beaten margins.
The interference was found to be accidental as Point In Time (IRE) hung badly right-handed, despite the best efforts of Doyle, causing Lorelina (GB) to be carried off its intended line on to Jedhi (GB), who in turn gave Sea of Faith (IRE) a bump off its intended line.
Following the race, Hollie Doyle reported that Point In Time (IRE), placed second, hung badly right- handed.
