On Veterinary advice, the winner, Minella Daddy (IRE), was unsaddled on the track and did not enter the winners enclosure as the gelding was receiving preventative treatment due to its history of post-race heat stress.
Following the race, Jonjo O’Neill Jr reported that Sizing Granite (IRE), which was pulled up, was never travelling and the Veterinary Officer reported that the gelding lost its right hind shoe.
Nico de Boinville reported that Forever Field (IRE), which was pulled up, stopped quickly and the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination revealed the gelding had lost its right hind shoe.
The Veterinary Officer also reported that Kings Monarch (GB), placed fourth, lost its right hind shoe.
