Permission was given for Licklighter (IRE) to be mounted on the course.
Following the race; Alex Edwards reported that Perryville (IRE), placed fourth, ran too freely and the Veterinary Officer reported that the gelding had lost its right-fore shoe.
The winner Licklighter (IRE) appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Cartmel on 28 May 2022, where the gelding finished fifth of eight, beaten by 26½ lengths.
Laura Morgan's explanation that Licklighter (IRE) had stripped fitter following its reappearance run after a 266 day break was noted and the gelding was routine tested.
