The apparent improvement in form of the winner, Storm Wizard (IRE), which had never previously been placed, was considered.
Venetia Williams’ representative was interviewed.
He explained that the gelding was a lightly raced 7 year old due to injury and had appreciated the heavy ground, on this it’s second run over fences and Storm Wizard (IRE) was routine tested.
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that Goodgirlteresa (IRE), placed fourth, lost its left fore shoe.
