An enquiry was held to consider interference on the run to the third last hurdle involving Tibbie Dunbar (GB), placed sixth, ridden by Kieren Buckley; Colours Of My Life (IRE), placed fifth, ridden by Mr Tristan Durrell and Fashion Nova (IRE), placed third, ridden by Connor Brace.
Being a 7lb claiming amateur, Durrell was accompanied in the enquiry by Dan Skelton’s representative.
Buckley was cautioned for careless riding as he had angled his mount left-handed around heels when insufficiently clear making contact with Colours Of My Life (IRE), which in turn carried Fashion Nova (IRE) off its intended line.
Approaching the second last hurdle, Tibbie Dunbar (GB), placed sixth, hung left-handed bumping Fashion Nova (IRE), placed third, before a short distance later Karannelle (IRE), which subsequently fell, edged slightly left-handed carrying the winner, Lime Drop (FR) off its intended line, which resulted in Tibbie Dunbar (GB) which had become unbalanced and shifted right handed after the first incident, then having to be checked when left short of racing room, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of any horse.
On the run to the final hurdle, Lady Malarkey (IRE), placed second, hung left-handed before being quickly corrected by its rider crowding the winner, Lime Drop (FR) onto Fashion Nova (IRE), placed third, which was hampered but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of any horse.
Following the race, Kieren Buckley reported that Tibbie Dunbar (GB), placed sixth, whipped around after the start had been effected and lost a considerable amount of ground as a result.
