As it was the second occasion within the previous 12 months that Athmad (IRE) had been reported, a further report within the same period would mean the gelding would be prevented from having a stalls test for 6 months.

An enquiry was held to consider interference shortly after the start, involving Larado (FR), unplaced, ridden by Theodore Ladd and Harbour Vision (GB), unplaced, ridden by Elisha Whittington.

Ladd was cautioned for careless riding as he had allowed his mount to drift left-handed without being fully clear of Harbour Vision (GB), causing Whittington to take a slight check.

Inside the final furlong, Dream Harder (IRE), placed fourth, hung quickly left-handed into the whip, hampering a weakening Inigo Jones (GB), unplaced, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Dream Harder (IRE).
