FormscanBy John O'Riordan - The Philip Rothwell-trained CHEERFUL CHAP catches the eye now he reverts to fences off what appears an attractive mark. A course winner over hurdles here a couple of seasons back, the seven-year-old received a chase rating prior to winning his two latest runs over flights. Off a 16lb lower mark, the gelding looks well treated. Dundaniel had a nice confidence booster back over hurdles last time, having failed to complete on his two previous chase starts. The nine-year-old is a strong traveller who should be well suited to this track provided he is back on song. Four-time winning hurdler Calico takes a significant drop in class here, with Carl Millar further easing her burden. The Gordon Elliott-trained mare should be very competitive.
