Review ballinrobe 1st May
Paul Carberry dominated the meeting at Ballinrobe with a magnificent four-timer through Six Stone Ned Fairymount Lord Turnonthegas and Corskeagh Royale
Noel Meade's Six Stone Ned (7-2) started the show for the classy jockey when he put in a more fluent jump than favourite Passage Vendome at the last and got away from it quickly to win the Western People Maiden Hurdle by two and a half lengths.
Adrian Murray's Fairymount Lord (11-4 favourite) then found a burst of speed after a slow jump at the last to catch Our Nana Rose and win by a head in the Killeen Sports Grounds Handicap Hurdle.
John Carr's Turnonthegas (10-1) arrived on the heels of the leaders full of running in the first division of the Connacht Spring Show May 20th Handicap Hurdle and scooted away to score by an easy seven and a half lengths.
Carberry completed the four-timer with a superb display on Meade's talented Corskeagh Royale (4-1), who was returning from a year and a half off in the Ladies Day June 26th Beginners Chase.
The nine-year-old had plenty to do jumping the final fence as he had four horses in front of him, but even with a short run-in there was enough in the locker for him to pass them all and squeeze home by a neck, with Carberry making it all look easy.< Run With The Wind reverted to jump racing after a couple of profitable runs on the Flat and broke his duck with an emphatic victory in the Treacy's Pharmacy Hurdle.
There was plenty of money for Michael Hourigan's six-year-old, who was sent off the 2-1 second favourite after a win and a third-placed finish on the level at Leopardstown on his last two starts.
Barry Geraghty sent him to the front rounding the final turn on the sharp circuit and Run With The Wind quickly asserted before holding off Primroseandblue by a length.
