Killer leads home Meade one/two

"He did it well. He hadn't schooled on grass, only on the all-weather. He's a heavy horse so it was hard to know as he needs soft ground," said trainer Noel Meade after Killer Miller (Mark Walsh up) led home a one/two for his Tu Va yard in the Download Paddy Power's Super-Fast Messenger App Beginners Chase at Naas.
The J P McManus-owned Killer Miller (5/1) proved too strong for Mrs Hunt's mare Bonny Kate from the back of the last, six lengths separating them at the line.
Eleven to ten favourite Sub Lieutenant got one wrong down the back and he ended up seven lengths off the front pair in third.
"I'm delighted with both of them. The mare ran a cracker, jumped great and probably got a bit tired. She wants a bit further as does he.
"I'd say three miles will be no problem to him. He's got a good pedigree. We'll have to go for a winners race somewhere now and see after that," concluded Meade.
