This is becoming my favourite track! . It was great for him to back up his last win. It took a long time for the penny to drop with him over hurdles. He jumped much better today even than what he did the last day.

He had a promising run on his return when finishing fourth at Navan and he’s come on a little bit from it. I was a little bit concerned about the ground today, but he handled it well and it’s brilliant to get a winner here at Christmas for JP. It’s been a while since we had a Christmas winner and we’re over the moon. It seemed to go pretty straight forward and it’s nice to get it. Hopefully he might come back here for the Dublin Racing Festival. We’ll see how it goes between now and then and have a chat with Frank (Berry, racing manager).

I'm delighted to get it as it's just taken a while for the penny to drop with him,. To be honest, it's a bit of a relief that he's stuck his head in front. Hopefully, he can go on from this, he'll get a bit further. He wouldn't want it too heavy so if the ground stays okay we might get something else and then head to Leopardstown at Christmas. We've been getting nice ground there for the past few years so if we get that type of ground there might be something there for him. We'll try and find something in between.

you don't always get what you deserve but he deserved that. Any time he's got good ground, he's run a good race and was was only beaten three-quarters-of-a-length on his last two runs.. I wouldn't call him a summer bumper horse, he's a bit better than that and he'll definitely have a little break. We might just call it a day because he won't go soft ground. He'll be a nice horse for next summer in all those festival meetings. My assistant Elaine owns him and it's her first winner. She has worked very hard with him and a lot of it is down to her. She's over the moon to get that. It's very seldom I come out the right side of a photo so I'll take it and we're delighted.
