This is Eleanora's (Kennedy) last hurrah for the season as she heads back to the States this week, so goes out with a winner. She has had a lovely summer and Mutasarref has been a star. Today was for Eleanora as she asked me to have one ready before October 5. How do you get horses like that as, 'ya-I'll-have-a-horse-for-you' and the next thing is they have a stone bruise, a temperature or the ground is wrong or else the trainer's in a bad mood! He has done everything and more, has danced every jig and has kept a smile on our faces. it was straightforward and with having Colin on your side, you know you're in safe hands. He kept it simple, took a lead and put his head in front when he needed to, that's what he has been doing all his career on that horse. He is a legend of a horse and fellas are up at the sales in Goffs this week spending millions, so what would they give to find one of him?. Hopefully he isn't finished for the year but it depends on the ground as he doesn't want heavy.

He’s some horse and you don’t expect him to be winning with the penalties. He’s a nice horse around a bend. We were a bit disappointed with him at the Curragh but I don’t think he’s ever ran his best at the Curragh in a straight. Eleanora (Kennedy, owner) is having some summer, it’s just fantastic. Horses like that make you enjoy it. His plan is to come back here for the Group 2 on Champions Weekend which is beyond him as we know but it’s another day out.

It was on Colin’s recommendation that he was purchased, and Eleanora was put into him and he’s been lucky ever since. The more trouble he gets into in a race the more he seems to like it. He came back from an injury and as Colin said he’s back to himself. That’s his grade and seven furlongs. A mile is just a tad beyond him. He’s like Power Under Me. This fella handles this ground and Power doesn’t but they are the same type of horse.

I genuinely thought I was only running him because Eleanora was over for a do at the weekend,. He's been on the wane all year. Colin said he's just a class horse and the ease in the ground helps him as he's had injuries and it helps his old bones. He's been a very lucky horse for us since we got him. I thought we were on the road to dropping him down the handicap but that's undone all that. You don't mind when they win. They went no gallop and it fell into his hands. On his day he's a good horse. The older they are they handle the ground better than the younger ones, that's horrible ground and it's catching a lot of them out but it helps him. The summer ground hasn't been helping him, he's been feeling his old bones. He's been a super horse for us and I'd say in time he'll end up having a happy retirement in Colin's place as he loves him.

that was very impressive and he is getting more professional with every run. Colin (Keane, winning jockey) said he went a bit left when he came under pressure but hence, when he goes around a bend he'll find another few pounds. That is four wins now for him and all roads lead to Champions Weekend - we'll sit down and pick out the easiest race for him.

I was gobsmacked that he qualified for the race (for horses that have not won a weight-for-age race value more than 15,000). We have three horses in that race rated over 100 and they qualify for it so we need to keep an eye on prizemoney. We are selling all our good horses. We all have to sell to survive but we are losing quality horses like this by doing it as we don’t have the prizemoney. The good horses need to be looked after. If the prizemoney is not high enough then in ten years’ time we will have a product not worth looking at. This lady (Eleanora Kennedy) loves having fun and coming racing. He’s a great horse for her to own in her first full year in Ireland. She’s late to the game. Her husband died in the last three years and she’s loving racing.

His trip is seven furlongs, he didn't get the trip the last day and was a bit unlucky in Cork,. All roads lead to Champions Weekend. The whole journey with this horse is about Eleanora (Kennedy, owner), it's her first time in racing and he's won twice for her this year when she's been in town. That's the most important thing, for him to win when she is here to see him.

That was grand and he did what he's been doing at home. We liked him and Eleanora (Kennedy, owner) flew in for the day so it's nice to win with him when she's here. He's a nice horse and I thought he was well handicapped to win that. There is maybe another day in him as long as the handicapper doesn't go bananas. He's a fun horse to have. Colin said he's not the horse he rode last year, he's twice the size.

After his last run (runner-up at Leopardstown), he looked like he should go and win today and thankfully he has. Hopefully we will go and look for a handicap for him next. His dam loved an ease in the ground and we anticipated he would handle it well.
