I thought Colin was very good on him. That's as far as he wants to go,. A mile-and-two or a mile-and-a-half is his trip. We had to protect him last year because we were on fast ground all summer. He's a gross individual. I'd like to think they won't be too hard on him and leave a little handicap in him. He's a nice horse to have. We'll maybe look for a premier handicap over a mile-and-a-half. If it was a wet summer he could keep stepping up gradually.

That was lovely. We think there is a nice handicap in him, but for him to get into the handicaps that we like, he had to win something like this. He's done it well and he'll improve. Ten is his optimum trip and any ground bar fast I'd say. We like this horse. The races we were picking for him were stepping stones.

This horse was put away in case we needed him for Colin. We didn’t need him and debated whether we would run or save him for the (Irish) Lincoln. His first race next year will probably be the Lincoln.

After race at Gowran Park Wed, 11th Oct, 2017 (1st)
He wasn't mad about the ground and is still a bit green. He'll want a bit further but Colin said he does nothing in front and he will come on maturity wise. It's another winner for Colin which it's all about at the minute. We'll see what comes up in the next couple of weeks but it will be a bit ground dependant. He has a high knee action and doesn't want it quicker than good but struggled to get out of that ground. He'll be a nice horse next year. David Spratt has bought a nice one there.
