Colin Keane moved two in front in the jockeys' title race when Inscribe stayed on well to make a winning start in handicap company.
The American-bred gelding attracted support this morning, backed from 7/2 into 11/8 before going to post the 5/2 joint favourite.
Fellow marker leader Admirality hit the front with over a furlong to go but was soon tackled by Inscribe and Ger Lyons' charge asserted inside the final furlong.
He was always in control in the closing stages as he posted a length success.
Shane Lyons said:- "He wasn't mad about the ground and is still a bit green. He'll want a bit further but Colin said he does nothing in front and he will come on maturity wise. It's another winner for Colin which it's all about at the minute.
"We'll see what comes up in the next couple of weeks but it will be a bit ground dependant. He has a high knee action and doesn't want it quicker than good but struggled to get out of that ground.
"He'll be a nice horse next year. David Spratt has bought a nice one there."
The winner was bought for £14,000 at Goffs UK Spring HIT Sale in May.
