I'm delighted with that, it's his eighth career win,. Colin said he hated the ground but being big and strong he managed to get through it and get home. He's a very good horse on his day. From the back end of last year I've had the Buckingham Palace Stakes in my head for him. It's seven furlongs at Royal Ascot where they'll go a lick. He is a group horse and I don't imagine he'll go up for that as he was 3 or 4lb well in anyway. I'll probably keep him fresh between now and then, he runs very well fresh. He owes us absolutely nothing, he's had us all the way around the world. He's eight years of age but he's only had 37 runs. Jim's horse kept him honest there. Colin was delighted with him, he said he just took a little blow coming to the line. Today was the plan, ground or not. It's the same as a bit of work at home and we're running for a bit of prize-money. We think seven furlongs is probably his optimum trip, he gets a mile as well but more so around a bend. He can go left and right-handed. The only question I have is up a straight but he was placed at the Curragh over seven as a two-year-old. Seven furlongs on a straight would be his ideal trip, a mile at Ascot would stretch him. He's in the Summer Mile at the Curragh but he'll probably skip that and we'll keep him fresh.

He's a very good mover. There was a lot on him I suppose coming back from Australia, back to Ireland and then going to Dubai where he ran well and was placed in a Group 2 out there. Then he came back, tipped away during the summer and we just freshened him up. He was placed in a Group 1 (in Caulfield, Australia 2022). He just has his enthusiasm back, he was flat after all the travelling both from Australia to Dubai and back to Ireland again. He seemed well at home during the summer, but just wasn't interested. We just freshened him up.

He's a horse that we thought a lot of last year and we stuck him in the Irish Guineas,. Obviously he's a long way off running in a Guineas but he's making shapes of being a very nice horse. That was a very competitive handicap and he's gone and made them look like handicappers. Leigh said he didn't have any choice but to make the move that he made when he made it. He didn't fight with him, let him stride on and he said when he got to the front he switched off and was idling. We might run him in the Tetrarch at the Curragh and if he was to come through that we could maybe think about running him in the Guineas. It's a long way away and I don't want to sound like a lunatic saying he's a Guineas horse after winning a handicap but he's gone and won well and he's beat some decent horses. He furnished greatly over the winter and that's really stood to him. He was second first time out at the Curragh and after that his runs petered out. Second time out he was just a bit too enthusiastic here and on his third run he was as weak as a kitten. We probably shouldn't have run him and then we threw him away and it stood to him. He's an exciting horse to have.

we thought a lot of this horse last year and he was second first time out at the Curragh. He raced a little over enthusiastic second time out at Naas, we put a line through that, and on his third run he'd just gone a little bit weak on us. We just put him away, he wintered well and strengthened up well. I thought that was good performance, carrying top weight and from that draw. He wasn't the quickest away but Leigh kept him out wide on the fresh ground down the back and at the apex of the bend was able to slot in in front and set his own fractions. He won well and he said he was just idling in front. I'm delighted with him and delighted that he's come good because we did think he was a nice horse last year. Hopefully he can progress well. He got a fancy entry on Saturday but I think we'll probably treat him like a nice horse now and we won't rush him back. We'll pick out a race for him a few weeks time. We'll see what the handicapper does and go from there.
