After race at Navan Mon, 20th Mar, 2023 (1st)  He did it nicely, he didn't do any more than he had to do. Denis was happy with him. He popped away well. Got under the last a bit, the ground is very testing. When he grabbed a hold of him at the back of the last, he quickened up well. Each time he has gone to Aintree, his last run has been a win. It has been great to have him and he has been a model of consistency. A month (to Aintree), I was glad this was on as it was called off here last week. He has a month from last Saturday which is grand. As long as he stays sound and healthy, he will go there. He has a big task with the topweight on his back. He wasn't unlucky last year, a better horse on the day beat him - a horse on the improve. He was unlucky the year before and he'll go back and run a good race again, but everything would want to fall right for you. It is seven years since he won his maiden hurdle here as a four-year-old. He's grand and a straightforward horse, he's a bus of a ride. T M Walsh

After race at Fairyhouse Sat, 26th Feb, 2022 (1st)  He can win at 2m or he can win at 3m or he can win at 3m2f. That's what you need going to the National, a bit of luck. He's in good old nick. Six weeks to go and he didn't have that hard of a race, he got a couple of smacks at the back of the last. He's 10 years of age. I'd say Burrows Saint probably has a problem with his puff again, he cut out very quickly turning in when travelling really well. The second horse (Escaria Ten) is a good horse. There was a Thyestes winner in it, a Kim Muir winner in it and an Irish National winner so it was a tidy race. The second horse was second in the four miler at Cheltenham and stays well. I was happy with my fella today and I'm glad I got a race into him. I'm delighted he got a few smacks and he had to go and do it. There was no point touring around. You want to be competitive as it is six weeks to the National, he needs to be fit and well for it. I'm delighted, I couldn't have asked for better. I was coming off the stand and I was delighted if he was second and I was delighted that the verdict went our way. He'll go there (Aintree) fit and well with a clear run and everything going right for him. T M Walsh

After race at Navan Sat, 13th Mar, 2021 (1st)  I'd say that was a career best and he's going to the National in a good frame of mind. Five runners here against 40 in the National is chalk and cheese but he's going there in good shape and whatever happens happens. He won a similar race to this last year at Naas the same way and he's a smart horse. He won his maiden hurdle around here, won a Grade 2 at Punchestown over hurdles and won the Kim Muir. He's a fair horse. T M Walsh

After race at Punchestown Sat, 14th Jan, 2017 (1st)  It's a pleasant surprise again but not as big a surprise as the first day. I would have been disappointing if he didn't run well. I was quite happy turning into the straight that he was going to be a good third with two fair horses in front of him. When he got by Gordon’s horse I thought Ruby had a bit more in the tank but he joined him and he's done it well. It's a sharp two miles around here and I was worried about that. It was basically a winners of one. It was down as a Grade 2 but every one of them had won one race. It's a sharp track but his jumping was very good. I thought a few times during the race he was going as quick as he wanted to be and I said to young Ted 'he'll get caught out if he misses one'. He was good though. It's only the second run of his life and he's come from having a tour around in a maiden hurdle at Navan to racing so it was a big step up. If he had gone to Navan fancied and got a few slaps you'd say he learned something but he cruised there to win. It's great to have him and the right man has him as he won't be for sale. He could be a very good horse. He's a big raw sort of a horse and I'll leave plans to Frank and JP. They have loads of ammunition and I'm sure they won't be rushing him. T M Walsh

After race at Navan Sat, 10th Dec, 2016 (1st)  He reminds me of Rince Ri. He won a maiden hurdle here at this meeting like that - he bolted in. If he turns out as good as him I'd be delighted. It's a pleasant surprise and he's a nice horse. I actually rode the great grand-dam Hourly Rate. He done it nicely. I thought he was a nice horse and he'd run well but I didn't think he was forward enough to beat the fancied horses. He jumped well and travelled well. It looked a hot race but he made small work of them anyway. I'll talk to Frank and JP now and see what they want to do. He'll probably go for a winners of one somewhere. He's a lovely big chasing type and looks like a half decent horse. On his first run you wouldn't expect that. Katie said we should run him in a bumper but I wanted to go down the hurdling route.
