The winner The Road Home (IRE), appeared to show improved form, compared with its previous run at Perth 11 August 2020 on where the gelding was pulled up.
Lucinda Russell explained that the gelding benefited from the removal of the cheek pieces which the gelding had worn on its previous runs.

Following the race, the representative of Kenny Johnson reported that King Golan (IRE), which was pulled up, was unsuited by the going, which was officially described as Good to Soft on this occasion, and would prefer a quicker surface.
