Art makes perfect start for Mullins
He's a nice sort to look forward to. He's still a colt so I'm not sure whether we will look for another race or geld him. I'll see if there is a race for him in France, otherwise he could go to Galway or somewhere like that. He was still very green considering he had a run (over hurdles) in France. Even when he met hurdles wrong he had the scope to take off wherever he wanted to.

Mary made to work to maintain unbeaten record
She jumped very big but she'll come on plenty for it, although she will need to. She jumped the first few okay but then lost her way a bit. She had been schooling alright at home but hadn't been away at all. She will go for some mares' races, and should get further. She finds plenty and was the same in bumpers.

Gamble goes astray as well-bred Welcome get his turn
He was due one of them. He ran well at Navan the last day but stopped after the last and I don't know why. It was nice to see him do it today and he did it well. I don't think the ground matters to him, and he should be suited by a fence in time.

The West's Awake wins on return
The owners (Mrs John Magnier) have been very patient as he hurt himself when he fell in Killarney last August. Ger Kelly in Fethard Veterinary did a great job as he had a chip in a bone in his hock. He was supposed to run in the Festival at Punchestown but when we schooled him he overreached himself and he couldn't run. He was off for about a week and I thought he might be a bit short today but he jumped himself there. He was probably the only horse that jumped well. Hopefully he'll improve and he'll probably end up in the west at the end of July. He might go for the Galway Plate qualifier in Kilbeggan.

Farclas now two from two over fences
He was well entitled to win that on ratings but I'd say he improved a lot from Down Royal. He likes the good ground so I'd say we’ll have a good bit of fun with him for the summer.

Mac N Cheese delivers on third start for Cromwell
I bought him for just 4,000 pounds (in January) on the advice of Tom Malone. He actually ran a grand race in Fairyhouse. He plunged on the way to the start with David Mullins and his reins got caught up in the breast girth. It looked like he was jumping left all the time but he just couldn't steer him. He also ran a nice race here at the Festival.

Dlauro impresses on racecourse debut
He was impressive. He's had a few setbacks since we got him. The ground was nice and safe here today and it was good to get a run into him. I was a bit surprised that he was keen for the first couple of furlongs. They set off in a bunch and it lit him up a bit. He would have learned plenty today. He made all in his point-to-point and the main thing today was that he learned a bit. It was a surprise to see him win that well but he's a lovely horse.
