The Stewards enquired into possible interference in the final furlong involving Hurricane Sky, ridden by N.G

McCullagh, placed first and Dinard Rose, ridden by A.J. Slattery, placed second, where it appeared Dinard Rose was carried right. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the Judge's placings and took no further action

The Stewards requested a report from Charles O'Brien, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Hurricane Sky, placed first, as compared with its recent form. The Trainer's representative, Mr. G. Abbott, reported that this horse had blinkers reapplied for the first time in a long time which may have prompted a return to form

Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the explanation offered
