Prior to this race, the representative of Suzi Best was asked to explain why they were running Corrie Lake (IRE) here at Plumpton on going described as Good, having made the filly a non-runner at Huntingdon on 6 May 2021 on ground with the same official description.
The representative explained that, having walked the course, the ground at Plumpton was on the easier side of good so they were happy for the filly to take her chance on this occasion.
Torolight (GB) jinked right-handed approaching the final hurdle in the back straight on the second circuit causing the rider to lose an iron, but it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Following the race, Tom Cannon reported that Jimmy (GB), which was pulled up, was never travelling.
