Susiesparkle (IRE) wore earplugs which were removed at the start.
An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference inside the final furlong involving the winner, Ribble River (IRE), ridden by Tom Eaves and Susiesparkle (IRE), placed second, ridden by Mohammed Tabti.
The Stewards considered that the interference had not improved Ribble River (IRE)’s placing as Susiesparkle (IRE) was drifting right-handed independently until being taken marginally further right-handed approximately half a furlong out by Ribble River (IRE), which lugged quickly right-handed.
This caused Susiesparkle (IRE) to lose no momentum and the filly was always being held by Ribble River (IRE) on the run to the line.
The Stewards therefore ordered the placings to remain unaltered.
The interference was found to be accidental as Ribble River (IRE) lugged quickly right-handed despite Eaves’ efforts to correct his mount.
