The Stewards received a report from Mr. Hugh Hynes , Turf Club Clerk of the Scales, regarding the fact that J.W. Kennedy , rider of Pahaska (GER) , weighed out at 2 lbs overweight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that J.W.Kennedy was in breach of Rule 198 and they therefore fined him ?150. M.A. Enright, rider of Ask Susan trained by John W. Nicholson, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount did not act on the heavy going.
