An enquiry was held to consider interference passing the winning post on the first circuit involving Heronord (FR), placed fourth, ridden by Mr Lewis Gordon, EASLKEY LAD (IRE), placed third, ridden by Ben Jones, Agent Saonois (FR), placed second, ridden by Harry Reed, and Arbennig (IRE), which subsequently fell, ridden by Page Fuller.
The interference was found to be accidental as Arbennig (IRE), which had made a mistake at the second fence, was left short of room against the rail and checked by Fuller when trying to regain its position up the inside of ANGET SAONOIS (FR).
