B.J. Cooper, rider of Alamein trained by M.F.Morris, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount appeared to have burst a blood vessel and was pulled up thereafter. The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Alamein, trained by M.F.Morris, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
