The Stewards interviewed Mr J.J. King, rider of Thunder And Roses, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found Mr J.J. King in breach of Regulation 10 4. by failing to give his mount time to respond to the whip and having taken his record into account suspended him for two race days. J.L. Cullen, rider of Rightdownthemiddle, trained by Michael Mulvany, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount cocked his jaw and ran out approaching the second last.
