The Stewards fined John Monroe, trainer, €130 for lodging a passport in respect of Canitbe, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards allowed the horse to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the vaccinations were in order. The Stewards interviewed William Hayes, trainer of Bawntameena, regarding the late arrival of the horse into the parade ring. Evidence was heard from the trainer concerned. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards excepted the explanation offered in relation to the late arrival into the parade ring and advised Mr Hayes of his future responsibilities in this regard. They were, however, of the opinion that the trainers conduct in the Stewards room was unacceptable and therefore referred the matter to the Chief Executive of the Turf Club for further investigation.
