We took a chance. Robbie got off him the other day and said he wants two and a half. He seemed to come out of the race okay,. He jumped much better today, and the run in a handicap the other day blew off the cobwebs. I think he likes that niceish ground, and doesn't want it too heavy. That's the good news. The bad news is that Sunni May has died of a heart attack. He just went out yesterday for a short canter and had only gone about 150 yards when it happened. That's the ups and downs of racing.

I've been with Dermot McLoughlin (trainer of Tethra) for the last six months. She had a little wind operation last year, and coming from off the pace suited. She keeps galloping and may jump a fence in time.

She's a fine strong mare and has a stamina laden pedigree. She gallops all day and jumps well. I'd say she will go for a winners' bumper and won't go hurdling until next season,. She was quite green today but as she gets experience racing she'll be fine. She's a chaser in the making. David was a Fegentri champion and that's his first winner in Ireland. He doesn't do too much racing these days.
