An enquiry was held to consider interference on the bend entering the home straight when Defuture Is Bright (IRE), placed third, ridden by James Bowen, interfered with the winner, Flowing Cadenza (GB), ridden by Sean Houlihan, who in turn interfered with Easyrun De Vassy (FR), placed fourth, ridden by Harry Cobden, who in turn interfered with March Is On (IRE), placed seventh, ridden by Jonjo O’Neill Jr.
Bowen was suspended for 6 days for careless riding as he allowed his mount to drift right-handed when insufficiently clear carrying Houlihan off his intended line on to the rail causing Cobden to clip heels and stumble bumping O’Neill Jr off his intended line.
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that Mister Tickle (IRE), placed fifth, lost its right fore shoe, Harry Cobden reported that Easyrun De Vassy (FR), placed fourth, clipped heels on the bend entering the home straight and Richard Johnson reported that Maasai Warrior (IRE), which was pulled up, ran too free.
