I was humming and hawing about running him because of the ground,. I kind of fancied him because of his experience even though he had went up plenty in the weights. He did it quite well and we'll see what happens now. He was probably the two mile horse in it and he's learnt from his few falls. He didn't jump as well today as he normally does though. It's great to get the win anyway. He's a summer horse and I was praying we'd get another couple of fines weeks but he's paid his way. E Sheehy, trainer

An extended handicap steeplechase for four years old and upwards (109 = 11st 10lbs)
Weights - Top weight in the original handicap shall not be less than 11st 10lbs
Penalties - Winner of a steeplechase after calculation of the handicap shall carry 5lb extra for each steeplechase won.
