The Tide Turns is trimmed for Triumph
he's a grand horse. I thought he was professional, he jumped well and did everything right. Jack said he was probably in front plenty soon enough but you'd like the way he ran. He'll be a nice fun horse and he's a horse that will mix it between the Flat and hurdles all summer. He'll go on any ground, he won on the all-weather so I'd imagine he'll go on good ground.

I'm delighted for Evan as he's had no luck with injuries. He's been plagued and got hurt at home earlier in the season as well. He rode a point-to-point winner for us (Dwan's only ride) yesterday and hopefully he can get a bit of momentum now. He's a great worker and well able to ride. she did it well, she had a good run the last day, had a break and came back and improved plenty and she's been working well. She's a grand filly and I'd say we'll get her out again soon enough. The ground was my only worry, I thought she'd want it a bit looser. She had a good first run on good ground, she was a bit weak last year, and she'll be grand on better ground as well. She has run over fences as well so she can go back to that.

Limerick Lace continues sibling success
she's a lovely big mare and the way she jumps a hurdle she'll be a nice one to go chasing with at some stage. She got into a little bit of a pocket there. She'll stay further and I'd say she needs every yard of that (2m4f 130yds).

Doubles for McManus & Walsh with Gain De Cause
luck was with us today and the handicapper got it spot on. It worked out well and he got a leap at the last and that was the winning of it, which was great. He's a big horse and you'd hope chasing will be his job down the road.

Nallen's National Day winner scores over hurdles
he's a grand honest horse. He doesn't do anything fancy at home but he keeps winning and they are the ones you want. We might look at the three-mile race in Clonmel (Grade 3 Powerstown Novice Hurdle, February 17) for him, that would look the race to go for.

Salmanino scores for Doyle & Flanagan
I thought the extra half mile would be a nice step up for him. He's just got one gear, he jumps very well and hopefully will be an improved horse over a fence. We'll have to keep him at three miles to be competitive again - he's a typical Kapgarde, just a big galloper. I'm thrilled to have got his head in front, it's not easy winning a 22 runner handicap anywhere so I'm very pleased. Sean said he'll be lovely over fences, he's got that big grabby stride. Hopefully there might be another one in him over hurdles. We'll look at the likes of Navan or Naas for him. He wants his ground and wants a gallop. It was a beautiful ride from a master.

Doyle delivers as daughter bags first winner
I've been trying to have a track winner for a while and I asked Dad for one thing this year and that was a winner on the track, so he delivered!. It is a brilliant place to ride my first winner so I couldn't ask for much more. she has done it well and we thought if she was fit enough, she's be good enough. She was and should be a good one to go forward. I wanted to track Patrick Mullins (on favourite Brookline) the whole way and when I gave her a squeeze, she really picked up and went away to the line.
