The Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages involving Eshtiaal (USA), ridden by J.W. Kennedy, and Jocular (GB), ridden by Caroline Murtagh, where it appeared Eshtiaal ran short of room on the inner and was forced to check. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned in the presence of Aidan O'Ryan (representing G. Elliot, master of apprentice J.W. Kennedy) and J.P Murtagh (master of Caroline Murtagh). Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards cautioned Caroline Murtagh to ride with more care in future.

For three yrs old and upwards that, at entry, are rated 85 or less
Weights - 3-y-o 8st 9lb; 4-y-o and up 9st 4lb
Penalties - 3-y-o performances before June 22nd for every1lb above the rating of 81......... 1lb extra; 4-y-o and up performances before June 22nd for every 1lb above the rating of 76 1lb extra; On or after June 22nd for each race won 5lb extra
Riders - Open to apprentices who are apprenticed to trainers in Ireland only. Allowances to riders (up to and including 23rd June and which are not cumulative) Apprentices who have not ridden three *winners allowed 7lb Those who have not ridden twenty *winners allowed 4lb Those who have not ridden thirty *winners allowed 2lb
