Following the race, Jonathan Burke reported that SUPER SID (IRE), which was pulled up, stopped quickly and the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the gelding failed to reveal any abnormalities, other than it had lost a left fore shoe. Alan Jones reported that AGAINN DUL AGHAIDH, placed sixth, had a breathing problem. The Veterinary Officer also reported that SHREWD TACTICS (IRE), placed fifth, had lost its right hind shoe and was lame on its left hind.
