I thought we would have plenty of horses for the all-weather this year but it didn't work out like that,. That's my first winner from our new yard. We moved a few weeks ago to Oliver Finnegan's yard in Dean Hill and the horses have done really well since the move. He's the biggest example of how they have thrived. There is a swimming pool there which is a big help. It's lovely set-up and I'm delighted where we are. The owner is a long standing patron of mine. He had a big day at the dentist yesterday so is a bit under the weather. This horse ran well on soft ground last week so I don't think ground is an issue. We'll look for six and seven furlong races. An extended handicap for three yrs old only (75 = 9st 12lb)
Penalties - (after calculation of the handicap) A winner shall carry 5lb extra; for each race won. Any horse rated above 75 shall initially be treated as having that rating and the highest weight allotted shall be 9st 12lb. Subsequently, the excess over 75 in any rating shall be added to the weight allotted to that horse.
