The David Wachman-trained 2-1 joint-favourite took the five-runner field along, but looked a sitting duck three furlongs from home when Peaks Of Fire loomed up alongside.

The leader tired in the final furlong and Dessie Hughes's charge (4-1) collared her 50 yards out to win by a length and a quarter.

Market leader Bay Swallow (7-4), trained by Pat Flynn and ridden by Danny Grant, needed every yard of the 12-furlong trip to overhaul Forest Minx in the August Festival 12th To 15th Fillies Handicap.

Favourite The Rossmeister looked to have the www.tramore-racecourse.com Handicap in the bag, but top-weight Alajan (10-1) flew from the clouds under Sam James and won going away by a length and three-quarters.
