< Diakali may not have been seen for over a year, but that didn't stop him running out a commanding winner of the Kevin McManus Bookmaker Grimes Hurdle at Tipperary.
Willie Mullins' charge was sent off the 4-5 favourite and justified those odds in style, burning off his rivals on the home turn under Ruby Walsh and pinging the final two flights.
Stablemate Thousand Stars plugged on for second, 10 lengths behind.< Promised Money showed a tremendous turn of foot to land the Listed Excelebration Tipperary Stakes.
Colin Keane was happy to hold up the Edward Lynam-trained 7-1 chance, but when he found a gap two furlongs out, she flew into the lead in a matter of strides.
Odds-on favourite Independence Day ran on strongly late on, but Promised Money had already done enough, recording a half-length success.
Another odds-on favourite to be foiled was Johannes Vermeer who could not live with Jim Bolger's Mrs King in the Glenvale Stud EBF Maiden.
Kevin Manning was anxious to push the 6-1 winner to the front of the field and after stacking them up on the turn for home, she drew clear in the closing stages to beat From Eden by four and a quarter lengths, with Johannes Vermeer only third.< Knoxville Bullet toughed it out at the front to land the At The Races Prize Rush On Facebook Maiden.
Michael O'Callaghan's 5-1 chance struck the front a fair way from home under Emmett McNamara, and though Shanghai Beauty and Glimmer Of Peace gained ground in the closing stages, Knoxville Bullet found just enough to beat the former by a head.
Tim Doyle's Northern Surprise (8-1) battled bravely for Billy Lee to land the Follow Us On Twitter Handicap.
Tony Martin's Our Sox (7-1) got the best of a three-way run to the line in the Costello's Tavern Handicap Hurdle under David Casey, while Jonny Burke found life much easier aboard Henry De Bromhead's Exxaro (9-10 favourite), who won convincingly in the Follow Tipperaryraces On Facebook Maiden Hurdle.
