The top-weight, who once changed hands for 260,000 guineas, won at the fourth attempt since joining Lambe's County Tyrone's stable for 19,000 sterling at Doncaster in May.

Walsh got the 5-1 chance home by a short head from Ella Watson in the Race Signage At Sligo in 2011 In 011 Handicap Hurdle.

"He's been a bit disappointing, but really it was the man on his back who made the difference between winning and losing today," said Lambe.

"He has always had the ability but he has his own ideas about it. He'd be better suited by good ground and a longer trip."

Barry Geraghty was in great form, registering a 23-1 treble on three favourites - Barna Gold Rubi Light and The Burrow Vic

Barna Gold, backed down from 9-2 to 11-4, justified the strong support when taking the Corporate Entertainment At Sligo Maiden Hurdle.

"He likes a bit of a trip, anything up to three miles, and he may go chasing now," said trainer Val O'Brien.

Geraghty then made all the running on 5-4 shot Rubi Light, who was also landing something of a gamble.

He brought Robbie Hennessy's charge home by a length and a quarter in the Martin Reilly Hyundai Chase.

"Barry said the mistake he made woke him up and that he'll come on a ton for it. Apart from the mistake he jumped brilliant," said Hennessy.

Geraghty took it up two out on The Burrow Vic (15-8) and kept Galway Legend at bay to land the Sean Graham Bookmakers Handicap Chase for David Fitzgerald.

Barry Cash outwitted his fellow jockeys by giving Vinnie (13-2) a great front-running ride to land the Join The 2011 Sligo Race Supporters Club Handicap Hurdle.

Cash conjured some big leaps from Willie Murphy's eight-year-old to hold Old Theatre Royal by a length.

"It was a great ride by Barry. The horse has had three operations for his wind but he kept going well," said Murphy.
