Richard Hannon's decision to send Kool Kompany across the Irish Sea to Naas for the Alfred Nobel Rochestown Stakes paid dividends when the 7-2 chance extended his unbeaten run to three.
Most of the attention was on Aidan O'Brien's War Envoy the 8-15 favourite, but he could not get on terms when push came to shove, leaving Kool Kompany to battle it out with Toscanini
Hannon's runner just had enough in the tank in the closing stages to edge the verdict by a head.
O'Brien still secured a double on the card, starting with Due Diligence s impressive all-the-way win in the Lacken Stakes.
The 5-4 favourite was sent straight to the front by Joseph O'Brien and stayed there, pulling clear in the closing stages to score by three and three-quarter lengths from Sailors Swan
The father/son double was secured when Table Rock (6-1) landed the Follow Us On Facebook Handicap.
Dermot Weld's Tested produced a flying finish to land the Owenstown Stud Stakes.< Ansgar was clear entering the final furlong, but Pat Smullen swooped down the outside on the 10-3 winner, coming home a length and three-quarters clear of the fast-finishing Slipper Orchid
The Kevin Prendergast-trained Beach Belle had two British raiders to contend with in the Coolmore Stud European Breeders Fund Fillies' Sprint Stakes, but the 15-8 favourite came from last to first under a confident Chris Hayes to beat Richard Fahey's Realtra by three-quarters of a length.< Hazaraba produced a fine front-running performance to land the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Maiden.
Declan McDonogh kicked clear early in the straight on the John Oxx-trained 3-1 favourite, and she kept up the gallop to beat Supposing by two lengths.
Ger Lyons could head to Royal Ascot with Machete Mark (11-2), after he landed the New BBQ Evening Format At Naas handicap under Colin Keane.
